Day 1 - Busses, planes and La Casa de los Amigos

We left Scattergood at midnight to catch a bus leaving for Chicago at one am.  It was the longest, sketchiest, segment of our trip. But nothing went wrong and we arrived into Chicago ahead of time. We then went on the blue line light rail to O´Hare. When we got to the airport it was a long boring time of just waiting to get through every thing and get on the plane. For some of us (Shane), planes are not the preferred mode of travel, and the flight was was pretty frightening. After a four hour flight, we finally arrived at the Mexico International Airport.

We then took some time exchanging money, sorting through customs, temporarily losing bags, and going to get them. After some excitement, we got on a bus that took us to where we were going to be staying, at La Casa de los Amigos.

After arriving there we were given a really short tour of the house and went out to eat before almost all of us crashed from a night of little to no sleep. Since then we have enjoyed good food and are starting to get to know our hosts more and are looking forward to an awesome four days in Mexico City.   Shane and Alan
